The 2019 EP ‘ILLUSION’ by Shangyun Wu, is the result of her life in 2018 while she was a office worker lived in Taipei. She was inspired and influenced by the sounds in Taipei city. As a office worker, Shangyun Wu’s mind was also influenced by the fragmented messages. The imaginary scene in the brain and the real field in Taipei city produced a sensory illusion of her mind. In this EP, she tries to express the illusion with contemporary piano, synthesizer and the soundscape of Taiwan and hopes that there will also create a unique personal illusion in the mind of the listener.
